About the Role:

We are hiring a remote Medical Assistant to join our team, supporting psychiatry and behavioral health services within the U.S. healthcare system. This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in Quezon City, Philippines or nearby areas, working night shifts aligned with U.S. Central Time (10 PM – 7 AM PHT).

The selected candidate will play a critical role in the clinical and administrative workflow, including patient intake, assisting providers during sessions, updating treatment plans, coordinating with insurance companies and pharmacies, and administering injections as required. This role requires an active Nursing license, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

You must be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and emotionally sensitive behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities

  • Start patient intake process and document pertinent information
  • Be present in the patient room during the interview
  • Review and make changes to the treatment plan based on discussion with the providers
  • Call insurance companies to verify insurance coverage and prior authorizations
  • Call pharmacy to verify medications
  • Prepare and inject patients with medications

Requirements

  • MUST have active Nursing license and license number as this is needed for credentialing in the hospital
  • MUST be good with computers/technology (proficient in Microsoft office and Google)
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of MA practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary all clinical departments
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, behavioral health and/or suffering patients.
