Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination for patients and families.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
  • Conduct patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with other healthcare team members.
  • Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
  • Assume responsibility for self-development and lifelong learning.
  • Provide direction and guidance to others regarding nursing practice.
  • Serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to other staff members.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience is strongly preferred.
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if holding an Associate's Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor towards others.
  • Values team collaboration and possesses proficient computer skills.
