Remote Medical Transcription & Coding Specialist Position: Medical Transcriptionist/Coder Location: Remote (U.S. based preferred) Employment Type: Part-Time / Contract Compensation: Based on experience About the Role: We are seeking a highly intuitive, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Transcription & Coding Specialist to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, be proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities: • Transcribe medical reports, physician notes, and other healthcare documentation accurately and efficiently. • Apply correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. • Review and audit transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Maintain organized records in compliance with HIPAA and data protection standards. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to ensure documentation integrity. • Stay current with medical coding updates and best practices. Qualifications: • Proven experience in medical transcription and medical coding. • Strong familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding systems. • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Highly organized with excellent time management skills. • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
