Job Summary

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (T&RC) in our MICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients. You will assess patients' conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and practice infection control. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' conditions and nursing needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs
  • Coordinate nursing care activities with other health disciplines involved in the treatment effort
  • Administer direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment are needed
  • Administer medications and practice infection control
  • Communicate changes in patients' conditions and questions regarding patient care to Charge RN/Clinician
  • Develop and maintain current written plans of care for assigned patients
  • Set priorities to meet patients' needs and set patient goals and priorities with patients and/or families
  • Provide documented evidence in the medical record of patient/family teaching and their responses and understanding of the teaching

Essential Qualifications

  • Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State
  • Minimum of one year of previous hospital acute care experience in a critical care setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or similar critical care setting
  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or other relevant specialty certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
