As a Kindergarten Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of our young students. Working closely with our experienced teachers, you will provide individualized attention, facilitate engaging learning activities, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. - Assist in planning and delivering high-quality educational experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning and academic achievement.
- Assist with small group instruction, literacy and math support, and intervention groups.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as escorting students, toileting, and supervising during recess and lunch.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:- A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of educational software and technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Classroom.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate flexibility and patience.
