We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Studio Research & Analytics team, reporting to the Sr. Manager. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Disney Product groups, reading and synthesizing data, and presenting support for quantitative and qualitative studies projects for key partners. The primary focus of this position will be on Disney Product and Consumer Experience monitoring programs.Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative studies projects, including series and coaching of data, as well as extraction and evaluation of data from various resources to construct summaries, tables, and record sections.
- Combine disparate data units using SQL to support the daily operations of the Disney consumer experience monitoring program.
- Partner with other teams to conduct studies at Disney, including discussing project goals, business needs, and timelines to effectively prioritize, innovate, and optimize our datasets.
- Build and maintain relationships with study counterparts in the team and from other divisions of the company, as well as outside vendors.
- Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various organizations in the product marketing, engagement, and product approach of Disney and the Disney Streaming Bundle.
- Manage assigned projects, implement best practice processes, and record duties and standing to supervisor(s) to ensure completion within set timelines.
- Work with the Sr. Manager and team to ensure that all results are strategically actionable and drive key decision-making.
- Collaborate with the team & analytics organizations within Snowflake & Databricks.
- Maintain up-to-date verbal and written knowledge of data factors and requirements.
- Respond to essential data requests from internal clients.
- Support the presentation of findings based on studies performed and contribute to associated business discussions.
- Stay at the forefront of SVOD & In-Home business developments amidst a continuously evolving landscape.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or related field and three years of relevant work experience OR Master's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or related field and one year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with SQL, with the ability to extract and integrate disparate data resources.
- Ability to extract data and integrate with other data resources to provide a rich, comprehensive picture for the business.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight timeframes and regular change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in data processing tools (e.g. SPSS, Q, MarketSight).
- Experience with survey tools (e.g. Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, including Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Familiarity with R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar programming languages.
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics.
- Quantitative research background, either supplier-side or client-side.
- Experience with reading survey data to extract actionable insights.
- Experience with subscription-based business models and approach.
