We're now seeking an experienced and certified Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team in Gresham, OR, and contribute to the growth and development of our clients.
About Our Company and the Role
Centria Healthcare is a leading provider of ABA therapy services, committed to delivering personalized care and support to individuals with Autism and their families. As a Center-Based RBT, you will play a vital role in our mission by providing one-on-one ABA therapy sessions, implementing behavioral skill acquisition and reduction protocols, and collaborating with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to drive client progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training methods.
- Follow and implement client-specific behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in individualized treatment plans.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training, supporting them in implementing strategies to promote client progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and BCBAs regarding client progress and concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work and therapy environment, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Assist BCBAs in preparing client materials, assessments, and skills acquisition programs.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or be willing to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment.
- Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation, with proof of driver's license and valid car insurance (if applicable).
- Be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a TB test (if not completed within the past year).
- Demonstrate physical ability to perform the job requirements, including getting down on the floor, standing up multiple times, lifting up to 50lbs, and running/moving quickly when necessary.
- Exhibit professionalism in presentation and conduct, with a strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications.
- Show cultural competency, flexibility, and an open-minded attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following experiences and skills are highly valued:
- Previous experience as a Behavioral Technician, working with children with Autism or other learning disabilities, or roles such as Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
- Additional certifications or education in related fields.
