Job Summary
The Office Project Lead is a well-informed authority for corporate travel management organizations at Alaska Airlines. As a single point of contact, this role requires significant judgment to make decisions that drive steady revenue, utilizing aspects of our organization and corporate client relationships. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key business relationships with Travel Management Company (TMC) accounts focused on business travel valuable learning experiences for Alaska Airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an informed authority for TMC business for Alaska Airlines, utilizing significant judgment to manage the pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements with the goal of achieving the highest share of the market and yield possible in individual markets.
- Collaborate with legal and risk management groups to develop contract-official arrangements.
- Analyze revenue, limits, and agreement performance to ensure objective consistency and profit.
- Build key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel learning experiences for Alaska Airlines.
- Foster marketing-related initiatives to assist in driving sales efforts, planning closely with marketing and business development groups.
- Manage the setup of TMC organization accounts through sales calls, arrangement planning, and coordination with pricing.
- Develop business development and lead advancement of other organization accounts through collaboration with sales management group to ensure exceptional entries are documented as needed and drive expected revenue per the details of the agreement.
- Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop a strategy to ensure the organization is positioned suitably in the market.
- Monitor revenue, commissions, and agreement performance to ensure maximum income and sales objectives are achieved.
- Successfully manage and allocate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Airlines.
- Prepare and execute local sales plan according to corporate sales targets and ensure Alaska Airlines is strategically positioned among its competitors and utilizes its position in the market.
Work Experience, Education, and Skills
Required
- 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail service industry or related field.
- Four-year degree, or two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of this degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Previous airline experience.
- Previous exposure to and utilization of travel industry data reporting sources like Sabre and Amadeus.
- Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the organization.
- Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with different teams and workgroups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to conflicts arising from competing needs.
