About the Role
The Director of Sales Strategy and Customer Development is a pivotal role responsible for developing long-term sales strategies and annual sales plans that align with blithequark's business objectives. This position requires establishing strong relationships with Costco buying management in each region, providing valuable insights into consumer profiles and trends, and collaborating with the Costco GMM to develop regional event volume strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term sales strategies and annual sales plans that align with blithequark's business objectives
- Establish strong relationships with Costco buying management in each region, providing valuable insights into consumer profiles and trends
- Collaborate with the Costco GMM to develop regional event volume strategies, address discrepancies in expected volume, and influence changes to adjust volume back on track
- Create and oversee the implementation of new programs and services for Costco and its vendors
- Set annual and monthly sales objectives in alignment with blithequark's business plan
- Work directly with the Costco GMM to develop regional event volume strategies and address discrepancies in expected volume
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets
- Experience in collaborating with large retail partners, with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with excellent relationship-building abilities
- Strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and consumer insights
- Creative problem-solving skills, with effective communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management, with proven experience in managing relationships with major retailers like Costco
- Experience in developing and implementing new programs and services for major clients
