Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences by utilizing consultative skills to understand customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions
  • Manage complex customer orders, provide accurate pricing information, and assemble parcels for shipping
  • Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment, adhering to blithequark's standards and procedures
  • Process financial transactions, handle cash and make change, and complete required financial paperwork
  • Stay current on retail store merchandising materials, ensure proper display of products and signage, and take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals, drive business growth, and maintain a positive and productive work environment

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods, and move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees, and maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, report regularly to work, and maintain established business hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Knowledge of printing, signs and graphics, and shipping products and services
  • Ability to operate a Point of Sale terminal (POS) and process financial transactions accurately
  • Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
