As a Remote Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing members regarding their pensions and other financial benefits. You will provide one-to-one inbound telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees, and periodically offer support through outbound calls. Your exceptional customer service skills, natural empathy, and determination to deliver comprehensive resolutions will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clear, complete, accurate, and objective information to customers based on a full understanding of program requirements
  • Accurately documenting enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, and grievances
  • Entering application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers as needed
  • Maintaining technical and program policy proficiency within client rules and guidelines, as well as other related program policies
  • Providing support through outbound calls as needed
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Previous customer service and/or call center experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office and keyboarding
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers
  • Ability to problem-solve through analysis and ongoing feedback
  • Achieve results through knowledge, empathy, and commitment
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Experience working with healthcare and employer benefits
  • Ability to successfully complete paid training
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift between 8am-10pm EST, Monday-Friday

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Remote Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be eligible for a range of compensation, perks, and benefits, including:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $16.00 per hour after training
  • Paid training program at $15.00 per hour
  • Full-time schedule with 40 hours per week
