Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nursing instructor to teach didactic courses and clinical rotations in our Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing initial advisement to students, supervising clinical experiences, and participating in various college-wide activities. Key Responsibilities

• Teach didactic courses and clinical rotations in the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing programs
• Provide initial advisement to students and supervise clinical experiences
• Participate in orientation, registration, committees, councils, in-service, student advisement, and professional development activities
• Collaborate with other members of the division to determine course content and curricula
• Fulfill all functions of a faculty member, including teaching, faculty service, assessment of student academic achievement, and professional development
• Participate in college-wide studies and projects, providing information as requested
• Demonstrate or actively work to attain proficiency with technologies useful in instruction
• Assist in assessing the job market and helping students obtain employment in the field
• Participate and assist in the development and implementation of student development programs and college recruiting activities
• Supervise student clinical rotations and evaluate student performance
• Participate with other members of the nursing faculty in evaluation of students

Essential Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with two years of recent professional experience as an RN
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required; Master of Science in Nursing degree preferred
• Teaching experience in a community college or technical school preferred
• Strong commitment to quality teaching, student success, and academic excellence
• Understanding of the community college mission and philosophy

• Master of Science in Nursing degree
• Teaching experience in a community college or technical school
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation
