They are currently seeking a Remote Automation QA Engineer experienced with Amazon Connect to join their growing quality engineering team.

Position Overview

The Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of Amazon Connect solutions. You’ll work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects to test integrations, APIs, and workflows within the Amazon Connect ecosystem.

This fully remote position is ideal for a QA professional passionate about automation, AWS technologies, and continuous improvement in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for Amazon Connect applications and integrations.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing for call flows, IVR, Lambda functions, and backend integrations.
  • Develop test strategies, plans, and cases for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Work with RESTful APIs, AWS SDKs, and Lambda to validate automation and integration points.
  • Perform root cause analysis for test failures and ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers).
  • Maintain detailed test documentation and reporting for all QA activities.
  • Ensure compliance with QA best practices, standards, and security requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation.
  • Strong experience testing Amazon Connect environments or similar contact center solutions.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, or Cypress.
  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience writing automation scripts in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and source control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified: Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate (plus point).
  • Experience with Amazon Lex, AWS Lambda, and Contact Lens.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
