About the Role As a Remote Prior Authorization Specialist, you'll be at the heart of patient care-helping providers, pharmacies, and insurers navigate the prior authorization process. Your work ensures patients get timely access to the treatments and medications they need. Key Responsibilities • Manage outbound (and occasional inbound) calls to patients, providers, and payers. • Review and process prior authorization requests for medications, services, and procedures. • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and insurance coverage. • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and insurers to obtain required documentation. • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all requests. • Document activities in internal systems for auditing and reporting. ? What We're Looking For • 1+ year of recent experience in prior authorizations, benefits verification, or insurance claims. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD codes, and insurance processes. • Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex information clearly. • Ability to manage high call volume and multiple tasks with accuracy. • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. • Must have high-speed internet with modem access (hotspots not accepted). • High School Diploma or equivalent required. ??
