About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a home health and clinic setting, providing care to pediatric patients. As a Physical Therapist at Aveanna, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from infants to young adults, and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Our Physical Therapists work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes, clinics, or other community-based settings
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and other support staff as needed
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Current licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
  • Valid, unexpired driver's license and automotive insurance
  • Experience working with pediatric patients in a home health or clinic setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
