<p>Description</p><p><strong>Customer Service Technician</strong></p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-Time </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote with travel to customer sites in Northern VA/NC and surrounding states<br></p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong> LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Customer Service Technician to support our advanced power distribution equipment. This role involves both on-site and remote service, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.<br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment, including:  <ul> <li>Static transfer switches</li> <li>Power distribution units</li> <li>Remote power panels</li> </ul></li><li>Provide technical support to customers on-site and remotely via phone and email</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely service records in the LayerZero system</li><li>Respond to emergency service calls, including participation in the 24/7 support rotation</li><li>Travel to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada as required</li><li>Occasional weekend or holiday work may be necessary</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> <em>Required:</em></p><ul><li>Experience servicing electrical power systems</li><li>Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills</li><li>Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics</li><li>Familiarity with PC-based programming of printed circuit boards</li><li>Knowledge of electrical PPE and safety protocols</li><li>Clean driving record</li><li>U.S. Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status</li></ul><p><em>Preferred:</em></p><ul><li>Associate degree in an electrical discipline</li><li>Military training in electronics or electrical systems</li></ul><p><strong>Work Location:</strong></p><ul><li>Initial training conducted at LayerZero headquarters in Aurora, Ohio</li><li>Field service performed at customer sites throughout the U.S. and Canada</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Salary-based, non-exempt position</li><li>Group health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Competitive 401(k) match</li><li>Generous paid time off</li><li>Simplified travel expense reimbursement</li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Statement:</strong> LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
