Key Responsibilities

In this critical customer-facing role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to ensure our passengers have a seamless and enjoyable journey. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting passengers with baggage pick-up, ensuring that they can easily locate and collect their luggage upon arrival.
  • Resolving issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged items in a professional and empathetic manner, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Utilizing specialized computer software to track and catalog luggage, maintaining accurate records and facilitating the efficient handling of passenger belongings.
  • Handling customer interactions with class, efficiency, and professionalism, addressing queries, concerns, and feedback in a courteous and helpful way.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, leveraging your skills and experience to contribute to the team's success and adapt to the dynamic airport environment.
  • Demonstrating physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces, ensuring you can safely perform the physical demands of the role.

Essential Qualifications

  • Be a local (in-state) resident, with a deep understanding of the community and its needs.
  • Hold a High School diploma or GED, demonstrating your commitment to education and personal development.
  • Possess a valid In-State Driver’s License, allowing for flexibility and mobility in your role.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, adhering to our company's safety and wellness standards.
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check, ensuring the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Be at least 18 years of age, with the maturity and responsibility required for this position.
  • Have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986, complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security, demonstrating your ability to follow procedures and protocols.
  • Be capable of carrying heavy items up and down jetway stairs, and being alert to moving vehicles or aircraft, using radio equipment when necessary, to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

  • Prior experience in customer service, preferably in an airport or aviation setting, where you have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills.
