Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with critical heart conditions and issues. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
* Monitor and report patient vital signs and other critical information to the healthcare team
* Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
* Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques
* Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency care as needed
Essential Qualifications
* Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing
* One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
* Basic Arrhythmia Class certification
* NIH Stroke Scale certification
* Critical Care Course or Critical Care RN Certification
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (desired)

* Experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing
* Certification in a specialty area, such as Critical Care or Cardiovascular Nursing

* Shift differentials are provided
