This role offers the rare opportunity to lead high‑performing manufacturing associates, shape operational excellence, and champion Lean Manufacturing principles— all while enjoying the flexibility of a work‑from‑home environment.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact You’ll Have

In today’s fast‑paced market, the ability to deliver flawless products on time is a decisive competitive advantage. As the Production Supervisor for the third shift, you will be the pivotal link between strategic planning and real‑time execution, ensuring that every unit leaving the line meets Integer’s rigorous standards for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and on‑time delivery. Your leadership will directly influence:

  • Employee engagement and retention across night‑time teams.
  • Implementation of the Integer Production System (IPS) to drive Lean transformation.
  • Compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management System (QMS) protocols, and other industry‑specific mandates.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, lower costs, and boost overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Direct Supervision: Guide, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing associates across one or more value streams, ensuring clear expectations and measurable performance targets.
  • Coaching & Training: Conduct on‑the‑job training, facilitate cross‑training initiatives, and develop individualized growth plans that accelerate skill acquisition and career advancement.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Foster a work environment that celebrates diverse perspectives, promotes open communication, and builds trust among remote and on‑site team members.

Operational Excellence & Production Management

  • Resource Coordination: Align labor, equipment, and material availability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules while minimizing downtime.
  • Goal Setting & Reporting: Establish clear production objectives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate progress to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Lean Implementation: Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and visual management to eliminate waste and enhance flow.
  • Quality Assurance: Embed a culture of quality by enforcing adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting regular audits, and leading root‑cause analysis when defects arise.
  • Shift Handoff & Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between third‑shift operators, daytime teams, and support functions (Planning, Customer Service, Engineering) to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and problem resolution.

Compliance & Safety Stewardship

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and internal policies, maintaining up‑to‑date documentation and audit readiness.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a zero‑incident workplace by conducting safety briefings, identifying hazards, and promoting proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered when coupled with demonstrated leadership success.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3‑5 years in a manufacturing environment with proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Leadership Track Record: Documented history of supervising production teams, setting performance standards, and delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for translating complex technical information into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Strong analytical capabilities and a bias for action—ability to quickly diagnose issues, develop corrective actions, and follow through to closure.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications – Added Advantages

  • Hands‑on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and proven success in audit preparation and corrective action implementation.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulatory requirements, especially as they pertain to medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Certification in Lean methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt) or participation in continuous improvement programs.
  • Experience implementing visual controls, standardized work, and 5S practices on a production floor.
  • Comfort with digital collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint) that enable remote supervision and real‑time data sharing.

Core Skills & Competencies – The Engine of Success

  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to motivate remote teams, resolve conflicts, and inspire ownership of results.
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Proficiency in deploying Lean tools, analyzing process data, and leading cross‑functional improvement projects.
  • Quality Focus: Deep understanding of QMS principles, root‑cause analysis (e.g., 8D, Fishbone), and preventative action planning.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using production dashboards, Excel, and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to drive insights.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly adjusting priorities to meet shifting customer demands and market conditions.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance concepts, and basic automation principles.
