Fertility Medical Coding Consultant (WFH)

Job Summary: We’re seeking an experienced Medical Coder with expertise in fertility and reproductive health services for a short-term consulting engagement (approximately 10 hours to start). This consultant will review our current CPT and Rx codes to ensure they accurately reflect the services provided and are optimized for billing compliance and reimbursement. Responsibilities: • Review and evaluate existing CPT and Rx codes used for fertility services and medications. • Provide recommendations on correct coding for procedures, labs, and prescriptions. • Advise on billing practices for both medical and pharmacy (Rx) claims. • Identify any compliance risks or opportunities for optimization in coding and billing processes. • Deliver concise feedback and actionable guidance in a short turnaround time Required qualifications: • Certified Professional Coder (CPC, COC, or equivalent certification). • 3+ years of experience with fertility, OB/GYN, or reproductive endocrinology coding. • Familiarity with Rx billing, medical claims submission, and payer requirements. • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly with non-coding staff. • Availability for a brief consulting engagement (~10 hours initially, with potential for additional work) Preferred qualifications: • Experience in family planning and maternal-child health areas/others such as pregnancy, postpartum, options counseling, menopause, adoption, surrogacy • Comfort with technology tools like Google suite, CRM platforms, EHRs, and Zendesk • Certification or licensure in a healthcare related field About Medix?
