About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing tailored financial solutions and support to individuals experiencing financial difficulty. You will be responsible for managing a variety of customer accounts, including car finance, bank accounts, credit cards, loans, catalogues, mortgages, and mobile phone accounts. Your goal will be to deliver personalized and customer-focused service, ensuring that each customer receives a transparent and fair outcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Speak with customers who are experiencing financial difficulty, providing empathetic and supportive solutions to their queries
- Make and receive calls to/from customers, managing a variety of customer accounts and investigating the details of customer debt
- Provide personalized and customer-focused service, delivering tailored solutions to reduce overall customer debt
- Ensure compliance with all outcomes and activities held within the Consumer Duty regulation, driving fair outcomes for customers
- Work 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00) and one in three Saturdays (between the hours of 08:30 to 16:30) with varied shift patterns

While call centre experience is not essential, you should have a strong background in customer service, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions that drive fair outcomes for customers.
Essential Qualifications
- Customer Service experience, whether face-to-face or in a call centre environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and enthusiastic, with a passion for making a real difference
- Able to use different systems, accurately reflecting conversations and outcomes
- Able to deal with sensitive and challenging conversations, along with complaints, and have the resilience to bounce back from them
- Good numeracy and English literacy skills, with the ability to break down complex financial products and solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a financial services or call centre environment
- Knowledge of financial products and services, including car finance, bank accounts, credit cards, loans, catalogues, mortgages, and mobile phone accounts
- Experience of working in a hybrid or remote environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
