Part-Time ELA Tutor (K–6) – Reading, Writing, & Phonics Tutive – Online | $18/hour | Remote | Evenings (EST/CST preferred) About Tutive Tutive is an online tutoring company focused on building strong literacy and math foundations for students in grades K–6. We work closely with families to deliver structured, engaging, and effective instruction using high-quality resources and data-informed strategies. Our goal is simple: support students in becoming confident, independent learners. Position Overview We’re currently hiring an experienced, certified teacher to provide 1:1 online tutoring in English Language Arts (ELA) for students in grades K–6. This includes reading comprehension, writing skills, and phonics instruction. You’ll work with students individually during 30-minute sessions in the evening, helping them build skills and confidence over time. Key Requirements • Active and valid K–6 teaching certification (required) • Currently teaching or recently taught in a classroom • Strong ability to teach reading, writing, and phonics • Orton-Gillingham trained (or equivalent highly preferred) • UFLI training strongly recommended • Available to teach evenings ((EST/CST preferred)) What You’ll Do: • Deliver 1:1 online lessons to K–6 students in reading, writing, and phonics • Use research-based strategies and follow Tutive’s instructional framework • Communicate student progress and needs through brief lesson notes • Maintain professionalism and rapport with both students and Tutive staff Details: • Pay: $18/hour (sessions are 30 minutes) • Location: Remote (USA only) • Schedule: Evenings, flexible based on your availability • Technology: Comfortable using tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, and shared documents for instruction and communication If selected, you’ll be asked to complete a short application form before moving forward in the process.
