The Data Analyst III promotes the integrity of Patterson’s data across the enterprise, ensuring the data can support transactional processes, reporting and metrics, and analytics products. The Data Analyst uses best practices for process improvement and technology projects to understand the data to be created and used, ensure the process and technology is designed and developed to efficiently create and maintain quality data, and map data conversions as needed. The Data Analyst is responsible for knowing the data needed to support the process, the metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs) used to evaluate the success of the process, and working closely with the SAP functional team, business stakeholders and data stewards/ maintainers on projects to ensure the needs are clearly defined and met by data.<br><br><ul><li>This role will be Hybrid (2-days a week in office) if you are located within 50 miles of our Corporate Offices in either Mendota Heights, MN or Loveland, CO. To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.<br><br><ul><li>Understand, maintain and enforce enterprise data definition and uses (metadata), for example: Build a data definition and align the definition across business units</li><li>Create data requirements and data mapping documents for business processes or technology projects</li><li>Design master data entry business processes with data stewards to improve operational efficiencies</li><li>Analyze data and recommend improvements for efficiency / quality</li><li>Research and recommend process or technology improvements for the quality of data being created or used (ex: automated workflow process)</li><li>Define data quality rules to enable end users to assess data quality and improve data quality (ex: Info Steward reports / dashboard)</li><li>Document data definition or data entry processes to assist with training activities and support Data Entry teams</li><li>Lead strategic efforts on projects and improvement related to master data</li><li>Provide thought leadership, influence and build relationships with related key functional and business stakeholders<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in data analysis</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with large amounts of data</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing</li><li>Customer-focused and collaborative attitude<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Data Management tool experience specific to Information Steward, Data Services, Winshuttle</li><li>Experience with Master Data Management solutions like SAP MDG or Informatica</li><li>SQL or other comparable language aptitude</li><li>SAP experience, especially CRM, ECC, SCM, BW<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Demands<br><br></strong><ul><li>Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday</li><li>May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment</li><li>Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. </li><li>Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Environmental Factors<br><br></strong>This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.<br><br><em>This role is eligible for hire in any of the following States: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, ID, IL, KS, KY, ME, MA, MI, MN, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NY, OR, RI, SD, TX, UT, VT, WA, WV, WI<br><br></em>The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as experience, and skills.<br><br>$90,000 - $110,000<br><br>The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $83,400.00 - $104,200.00
