Virtual Airline Helpdesk Representative – Remote

Job Summary American Airlines is seeking a Virtual Airline Helpdesk Representative to join our remote customer support team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for travelers, assisting them with flight bookings, ticket modifications, refunds, travel policies, and other general inquiries. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering exceptional service while representing one of the worlds leading airlines. This is a fully remote position that offers the flexibility to work from home while supporting our passengers across different time zones. Key Responsibilities • Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat in a professional and timely manner. • Assist customers with flight reservations, cancellations, upgrades, and travel changes. • Provide detailed information on airline policies, baggage allowances, and flight schedules. • Resolve customer complaints efficiently and elevate issues when necessary. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure consistent service delivery. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions using airline systems and CRM tools. • Stay updated with current promotions, travel alerts, and operational changes. • Follow company protocols to ensure passenger satisfaction and data security. Required Skills and Qualifications • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. • Ability to multitask and handle high-volume inquiries calmly and efficiently. • Proficiency in using computers, CRM systems, and online communication platforms. • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities. • Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace. Experience • Prior experience in customer service, airline support, travel assistance, or call center operations preferred. • Freshers with strong communication and learning abilities are also encouraged to apply. Working Hours • Flexible shifts based on time zones and flight schedules. • Candidates must be open to working weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts if required.
