A company is looking for a Pre Authorization Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle incoming calls and provide appropriate case handling for pre-authorization requests
• Perform benefit verification and pre-surgical authorizations while managing appeals with payers
• Communicate with healthcare professionals and sales representatives regarding case inquiries and updates
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience authorizing medical procedures with various payers
• Minimum 1 year of claim appeal experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
• Ability to maintain a secure home office environment compliant with HIPAA regulations
