Job Overview

The Customer Care Representative I role is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused individual to act as a trusted advisor and educator, providing exceptional support and guidance to customers regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims. This hybrid position requires onsite training for the first 10 weeks at one of our office locations in Norfolk, VA, Las Vegas, NV, St. Louis, MO, Mason, OH, Winston-Salem, NC, or Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries via telephone and written correspondence, providing accurate and timely information on insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
  • Analyze problems and provide effective solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Operate a PC/image station to obtain and extract information, documenting customer interactions and outcomes in our database.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, coordinating with various functions within blithequark to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Research and analyze data to address operational challenges and customer service issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Provide external and internal customers with requested information, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct outbound calls to answer customer questions and provide support, utilizing computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with previous experience in an automated customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Facilitation skills, with the ability to coordinate with various functions within blithequark to ensure customer requests and questions are handled efficiently.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to research and analyze data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience, with knowledge of insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
  • Pharmacy experience, with understanding of medication coverage and prior authorizations.
  • Call center experience, with familiarity with computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
  • URAC accreditation, with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

Compensation and Benefits

blithequark offers a competitive salary range of $18.50 to $20.50 per hour, depending on location and experience. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution.
