Job Overview

As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience. Your duties will include assisting customers with questions and recommendations, managing sales transactions, maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, and keeping the store well-stocked and recovered. You will be responsible for receiving merchandise, helping with unloading trucks, and stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards. Additionally, you will ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with questions and recommendations to deliver a great shopping experience
  • Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register and maintain the security of cash and protect company assets
  • Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise to ensure a seamless shopping experience
  • Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor to support the overall success of the store

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, although previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred. You must be able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents, and have excellent customer service and relationship management skills. Strong organizational and communication skills are also required, as well as strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Preferred Qualifications
