As a leader in the industry, we are constantly seeking talented individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of innovation and excellence. **Job Overview** We are currently seeking an Experienced Principal Data Scientist to join our team, responsible for guiding the development, implementation, and maintenance of data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) models for our attractions. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal partners to deliver elite visitor experiences with interactive and data-driven systems across our attractions. You will report to the Attractions Functional Innovation team and play a crucial role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights and AI-powered solutions. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Principal Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, providing thought leadership and driving projects to completion efficiently and effectively * Collaborating with research teams and stakeholders to drive machine learning (ML) strategies and identify areas where business problems can be solved creatively by applying ML * Leading and working with data scientists and engineers to implement and scale ML solutions, creating magical experiences for our visitors and driving functional objectives * Driving innovation, proof-of-concepts, technology funding initiatives, and customer engagements that lead to developing top-tier AI platforms * Providing functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team * Developing standard operating procedures and collaborating with specialty units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space * Productionizing ML algorithms in predictive analytics, classification, image recognition, NLP, anomaly detection, and more, and evaluating their performance on real-world datasets * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and coordinating with existing software practices that generate effective code **Essential Qualifications and Skills** To be successful in this role, you will need: * 2+ years of experience in Python and predictive modeling, such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, Light, MXNet, and more * 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP * Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns * Experience with structured and unstructured data (i.e., images, video, text, audio, etc.) and SQL relational and non-relational databases * 2+ years of experience with workflow management tools like Airflow or another data workflow management instrument * Experience with version control software, such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines * Strong systems integration architecture skills, with the ability to transform new technology into business solutions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and expected outcomes **Preferred Qualifications and Skills** While not required, the following skills and qualifications are preferred: * Experience with Docker * Experience with control systems * Experience with Kubernetes * Experience with cloud solutions in GCP or another cloud platform * Experience with Atlassian Tools like Jira and Confluence * Experience with Agile development methodologies * Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development * Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau) * Experience with audio analysis * Experience with text analysis **Education** A Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
