About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Support Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our support staff, you will be the first point of contact for external customers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs through our general phone number, inboxes, chats, and other communication channels. Your role will be pivotal in providing exceptional internal and external customer service, ensuring that every interaction reflects the values and mission of blithequark.

Core Responsibilities and Primary Duties

  • Serve as the primary support staff for external customers, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information via phone, email, chat, and other communication channels.
  • Perform internal operational support functions related to addressing customer issues, including but not limited to, troubleshooting, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams, and following up on customer inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are professional, empathetic, and reflective of blithequark's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer complaints and concerns, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with blithequark's programs, services, and initiatives to provide accurate and informative responses to customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer support processes and procedures, suggesting enhancements and innovations that align with blithequark's mission and goals.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a non-profit, healthcare, or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide personalized support.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including but not limited to, customer relationship management (CRM) software, phone systems, and chat platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a call center or customer support environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
