Entry Level Remote Tax Preparer – Valid PTIN (Commission Based)

Tax Preparer Job Overview A-Countability Plus Tax Service is expanding its network of professional tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. We are seeking PTIN holders with their current PTIN number who already maintain their own client base. Qualified individuals may also receive enrollment into the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (ASFP) to enhance professional standing and client confidence. This is a fully remote position — work from anywhere, on your own schedule, while being part of a team led by Dr. Sharon Love . Tax Preparer Responsibilities • Prepare and e-file federal and state individual/business tax returns. • Review and analyze income statements, expenses, and supporting documents. • Identify deductions, credits, and opportunities to reduce tax liability. • Ensure compliance with current IRS and state tax laws. • Communicate effectively with clients to collect documents and explain results. • Maintain accurate, secure digital files for all assigned clients. • Stay informed on latest IRS updates and legislative changes. Tax Preparer Qualifications • Valid PTIN required . • Prior experience in individual and/or business tax preparation preferred. • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a remote setting. • ASFP certification a plus (or willingness to enroll if qualified). Tax Preparer Experience • Minimum 1–2 years of tax preparation or accounting experience. • Prior experience working with bank products, EIC, CTC, and Schedule C clients preferred. • Familiarity with IRS e-services and secure file sharing. • Background in public accounting or client bookkeeping is beneficial.
