About the Role

As an Elementary Math Tutor with blithequark, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families in your community. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, one-on-one math tutoring to elementary-level students in the Chattanooga, TN area, including Signal Mountain and Hixson
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs and learning style of each student
• Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student to ensure consistent progress and achievement
• Provide regular session reports to our office and families, detailing student progress and areas for improvement
• Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure seamless continuation of services
• Only service students whose needs align with your areas of expertise and qualifications

Subjects and Areas of Focus

We are seeking tutors who are experienced in teaching a range of math subjects, including but not limited to:

• Basic elementary math skills
• Entry-level geometry
• Pre-Algebra
• Homework Prep
• Test anxiety strategies

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a focus on math education
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields, such as math or elementary education
• Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly valued but not required
• Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills
• Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session, including developing lesson plans and materials
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, as well as reliable transportation and current car insurance
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
