About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative (First Notice of Loss) to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our Customer Service Division, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support to our policyholders, agents, claimants, and employees. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 customer service center, with the flexibility to work from our corporate office in Erie, PA, or remotely, depending on your location and eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize various platforms to respond to customer inquiries, applying a working knowledge of blithequark policies, procedures, and products to provide timely and effective solutions.
- Resolve issues within your scope of authority, escalating to the appropriate area or person of authority as determined by company policy and procedure.
- Manage and service office account books of business, applying proficient knowledge of blithequark systems and products to respond to customer concerns and process loss reports and claims.
- Provide claims services, including repair options, rental reservations, property mitigation, and towing, ensuring that customers receive exceptional support and care.
- Attend training and informational meetings to maintain a working knowledge of blithequark policies, procedures, and processing systems, as well as industry knowledge and applicable licensure.
- Train and mentor less experienced staff, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for department and projects, as applicable.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED, with previous customer service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 28 words per minute, with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software required.
- Completion or active pursuit of insurance education preferred, with preferred courses or designations including General Insurance (INS 21, 22, 23) and AIS (Associate in Insurance Services).
- The ability to work a schedule commensurate with department hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
