About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team in Waterloo, IA. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be part of a team reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, and will be responsible for responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, building customer relationships, and resolving customer challenges. You will work in a team-based environment, collaborating with customers and Sales team members daily to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls
  • Work with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment
  • Use a computer and multiple computer programs with periods of sitting up to 8 hours per day
  • Resolve customers' challenges by using all resources for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management
  • Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credit, and implement return procedures

Work Environment and Schedule

We offer a hybrid work environment, with three days onsite and two days at home. You will enjoy your weekends off, with a schedule of 8:30 to 5:00 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday. After completing our 8-week onsite training academy, you will have the opportunity to work from home up to 5 days a week and participate in a bidding process for alternate work shifts.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Ability to commute to our facility from your home
  • A secure workspace at home dedicated to job activity
  • Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs at once
  • Stable internet with the ability to provide proof of internet speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new software and systems
