Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, providing courteous and efficient service, and ensuring that our customers have a positive and memorable shopping experience. Key Responsibilities
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable
- Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and resolves any customer issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommends items for sale, and suggests trade-up and/or companion items to drive sales growth
- Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records, ensuring that our store is always clean, neat, and orderly
- Implements blithequark asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, and completes resets and revisions as directed
- Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures, and has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products, and assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, and complies with all blithequark policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth
- Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the store to assist customers and perform tasks
