Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing service to our clients, interacting with Technologists in the field, and working with representatives at our various regional accounts. As an integral part of our operation, you will work as front-line staff with Directors of Nursing and Administration, ensuring that all customer requests are handled in a prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional manner. You will also have the opportunity to be cross-trained to work on the company's Dispatch side, further expanding your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer orders by telephone or fax, ensuring all customer requests are handled in accordance with established company standards and procedures
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customers, making a concerted effort to listen to their needs and provide them with a positive experience
- Solve routine and complex problems, contacting supervisors immediately for problems that cannot be solved
- Answer incoming customer service orders as soon as possible, displaying active listening and superior customer service skills for both external and internal customers
- Document activity to the blithequark system, displaying the ability to enter orders manually via our fax process and operate the phone system effectively
- Adhere to work schedule, executing and prioritizing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of productivity
- Handle an average of 11 calls per hour per eight-hour shift after 4 months in the position, including inbound calls
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as a team, demonstrating the ability to perform different tasks and retain knowledge
- Computer knowledge, with the ability to type 35-40 words per minute
- Strong customer service skills, with solid communication skills (including verbal, written, and listening skills)
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with good organizational skills
- Professional demeanor, with the ability to adapt to change and prioritize multiple tasks
- Medical terminology/experience preferred but not required
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have high-speed internet for remote work
