About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Support Representative to join our team, working remotely to respond to a high volume of billing-related inquiries from clinicians and patients. As the frontline representative, you will work cross-functionally across multiple departments, including sales, operations, billing, and lab teams, to serve the needs of our patients and clients. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently will be essential in resolving discrepancies, collecting payments, and identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond clearly and efficiently to high-volume billing phone and email inquiries, providing accurate and timely resolutions to patient and clinician queries
- Collect patient payments through email, phone calls, or standard mail correspondence, setting up payment plans directly with patients as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase revenue and resolve billing discrepancies, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing changes to drive growth
- Develop and implement effective collection methods that consistently meet or exceed company financial goals, while providing exceptional service and experience to patients
- Participate in projects that extend beyond day-to-day responsibilities, thinking outside the box to drive innovation and improvement in our billing and customer service processes
- Work closely with the team to create ways to increase cash collections, providing feedback and suggestions for process improvements and implementing changes to drive growth
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ year experience working in a client-facing role in a heavily customer-focused work setting, or 2+ years of work experience post-college
- Ability to work remotely with high-level internet speed (50 mbps) connectivity and a dedicated work-from-home space
- Experience using Google Apps, Mac OS X, and CRM applications (i.e., Salesforce)
- Bilingual skills are a plus
