You will work closely with developers, product managers, quality assurance, and customer support to gather information and produce clear, concise, and accurate content for a variety of audiences, including end-users and developers. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Documentation creation</strong>: Research, write, and edit a wide range of content, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, online help, release notes, and tutorials.</li> <li><strong>Cross-functional collaboration</strong>: Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand product functionality, gather documentation requirements, and stay up-to-date with new features and releases.</li> <li><strong>Audience analysis</strong>: Analyse the needs of different target audiences (e.g., technical vs. non-technical) and tailor content to be easily understood and highly usable.</li> <li><strong>Content strategy</strong>: Help plan, develop, and maintain the product's overall information architecture and content strategy for documentation. Identify opportunities for content reuse and single-sourcing.</li> <li><strong>Quality assurance</strong>: Edit and proofread documentation to ensure it meets quality standards for consistency, grammar, style, and accuracy.</li> <li><strong>Content maintenance</strong>: Continuously update and revise existing content to reflect changes and improvements in the software.</li> <li><strong>User feedback</strong>: Incorporate user feedback from sources like customer support tickets and user analytics to improve the effectiveness of documentation.</li> <li><strong>Media development</strong>: Create visual aids such as diagrams, screenshots, and videos to supplement written content.</li> <li><strong>Agile workflow</strong>: Participate in an agile software development lifecycle and related meetings, such as daily scrums. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Education</strong>: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as English, Communications, Computer Science, or Engineering.</li> <li><strong>Experience</strong>: Proven 4 to 6 experience writing technical documentation for a software product.</li> <li><strong>Writing skills</strong>: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and style.</li> <li><strong>Technical aptitude</strong>: Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, easy-to-understand content for various audiences.</li> <li><strong>Tool proficiency</strong>: Strong working knowledge of documentation tools and software, which may include:</li> <ul> <li><strong>Content creation</strong>: Confluence, Notion, MadCap Flare</li> <li><strong>Project management</strong>: Jira</li> <li><strong>Markup/code</strong>: HTML, Markdown, XML</li> </ul> <li><strong>Attention to detail</strong>: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.</li> <li><strong>Collaboration and independence</strong>: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.</li> <li><strong>Adaptability</strong>: Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment. </li> </ul>
