The Energy Development Services Division administers programs that provide financing and incentives to homeowners, renters, businesses, organizations, nonprofits, Tribes, schools, consumer-owned utilities, and public bodies installing projects that increase energy efficiency, generate renewable energy, encourage community resilience, or support the alternative fuels market. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You will provide program coordination, analytical support, and stakeholder engagement for the agency’s Grid Resilience program and related federally and legislatively funded initiatives. This position evaluates complex project proposals for feasibility and compliance, supports development of program processes and reporting systems, and coordinates across internal and external partners to ensure accurate documentation, accountability, and fulfillment of grant requirements. This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule. For the first three (3) months, the incumbent will be expected to be physically at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon on Fridays. The incumbent will be expected to work at least six (6) workdays at the central workplace, including attendance at pre-scheduled in-person all-staff meetings. The position may also be required to work at the central workplace on a more frequent basis with advance notice, as needed. This is a full-time, classified service position that is not represented by a union. Limited-duration positions are benefit-eligible positions with a designated maximum length of service. This position is expected to end on or before April 30, 2032, however, it could end or be extended at any time. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years of experience coordinating or administering a program. -OR- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification. The most successful candidate will also have the following skills, experience, and background: Experience designing, developing, coordinating and administering governmental programs and/or utility incentives or grants programs. Experience maintaining a database, capturing data, updating data, analyzing data, generating reports, and reporting out to external partners. Experience interacting with a diverse community (including governmental agencies and tribes) and conducting outreach to diverse community/partner groups. Collecting information from various stakeholders, interpreting, assembling the information, presenting compiled information, and reports to a diverse audience. Experience explaining technical program requirements or processes to internal and external partners. Preference may be given to those with the following experience: Experience working with electricity generation, storage, and transmission projects.
