Job Summary

As a Customer Service Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales service to our wholesale and retail customers, answering their questions, and recommending the right solutions to meet their needs. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide product information, and resolve any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Your goal will be to ensure maximum client satisfaction, achieve excellent customer service, and consistently meet the store's sales goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining the high quality and visual standards of our products and store, staying up-to-date with product features, and suggesting ways to improve sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers, providing personalized support and recommendations to meet their needs
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures, maintaining precise work order files and formulas
  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, contributing to the store's overall sales performance
  • Maintain the store's visual standards, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, tinting and mixing products as needed, and stocking shelves and setting up displays
  • Clean store equipment, load/unload delivery trucks, and assist in making deliveries as needed
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discussing available options with customers and providing expert advice and recommendations
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, suggesting ways to improve sales and contributing to the store's overall success

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish

  • Basic math skills, with the ability to process sales transactions accurately and maintain precise work order files and formulas
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
