Job Overview

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance and support to blithequark's internal and external clients, trading partners, and vendors who utilize our products. As a key member of our customer service team, you will answer inbound phone calls in an efficient, courteous, and accurate manner, assessing customer needs and offering solutions to ensure a superior customer experience. With a Monday to Friday schedule and no late hours or weekend work, this part-time position offers a great work-life balance, with 20 hours of work per week, although you will be required to complete full-time hours for two weeks of training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering a high volume of inbound technical phone calls and resolving customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues with high First Contact Resolution rates (FCR)
  • Following established policies, procedures, processes, and workflows to ensure appropriate resolution of issues of limited scope
  • Documenting all issues, comments, and resolutions in appropriate software system applications
  • Providing excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalency, with an associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare management preferred. A minimum of two years' experience in customer service, including six months in a lower-level customer care representative role, is also required. Understanding of the insurance industry, electronic claims, medical office knowledge, and/or coding/billing is preferred, although not essential.

Technical Competencies

  • Technical expertise with specialized applications, including knowledge of hardware, software, applications, and preferred vendor systems
  • Knowledge of claim formats (e.g., ANSI, NSF, and Print Image) and HIPAA transactions sets (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271, and 276/277) is preferred

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is between $17.50 and $19.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for blithequark's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of blithequark's applicable plans.
