About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team at blithequark. As a CSR, you will play a vital role in resolving potential overpaid claims on behalf of our insurance clients by contacting medical, dental, and long-term care providers. This position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of outbound calls. Your primary goal will be to maintain accurate records, resolve claims efficiently, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Politely and effectively communicate with medical, dental, and long-term care providers regarding identified insurance overpayments, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
  • Persistently problem-solve and escalate issues as needed, demonstrating a proactive approach to claim resolution.
  • Proactively make contact with providers, responding both verbally and in writing to ensure seamless communication and efficient claim processing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our operating system, including points of contact, notes, and recovery stages, to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Perform administrative duties such as creating notes, researching overpayments, sending emails and faxes, and other tasks as required, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Positively respond to coaching, mentoring, and feedback, embracing opportunities for growth and development.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly recovery goals and metrics, contributing to the team's success and blithequark's mission.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundation in education and a commitment to learning.
  • Excellent computer skills, including intermediate Windows and MS Office skills, to efficiently navigate our operating system and perform administrative tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, to effectively interact with providers, clients, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in completing tasks, ensuring high-quality work and minimal errors.

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

  • Experience in processing Long Term Care, Medical, Medicare, Medicaid, or Dental insurance billing or auditing, demonstrating a understanding of the industry and its complexities.
  • Call center experience, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of calls.
  • Customer service experience, highlighting your commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Mainframe, 'green screen' experience, or similar systems, demonstrating your ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, enabling you to efficiently perform administrative tasks and analyze data.
