Pay Grade 9: $33.532/hour This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate. Generous vacation and sick leave earnings each year (starting at 12 days each!), plus a variety of other leave types 156% state-matched retirement (yes, that’s $1.56 for every dollar!) with a guaranteed 5% return Thirteen paid holidays per year Essential Functions Establishes and fosters strategic partnerships and serves as liaison among educational entities, state agencies, nonprofit organizations, workforce development agencies, and businesses to achieve goals of Nebraska Career & Technical Education. Provides guidance related to developing, expanding, and sustaining workforce and industry partnerships to advance Nebraska Career & Technical Education. Develops, organizes, and coordinates the process to review and revise the reVISION Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment process and reVISION Action grant. Develops and delivers professional development and resources related to workplace learning experiences, workforce partnerships, industry engagement, and Career & Technical Education. Provides guidance and technical assistance to schools and districts on implementing high-quality work-based learning opportunities, credential programs, and career pathways aligned with high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand occupations. Conducts desk audits and on-site visits to monitor state and federal grant recipients and provide technical assistance related to the development and implementation of grants. Reviews and approves applications, amendments, and reports. Maintains regular & reliable attendance, possesses a valid driver’s license and travels independently, and works in a variety of settings. Working Conditions and Travel: This position requires approximately 80% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 20% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as schools, educational service units, and other service agencies. There is also approximately ten days of overnight travel per year. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education or related area and 7-12 or postsecondary teaching experience. Experience managing grant programs, coordinating initiatives with business and industry groups, and providing professional development opportunities.
