Job Overview

The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks for Alternate Investments. This critical role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, and processing Corporate Activity Activities, among other essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Identify and address breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, providing prompt resolutions
  • Process Corporate Activity Activities, settling and reconciling transactions, and processing returns activity
  • Analyze complex and escalated issues, performing testing and validation of new technology enhancements and provider changes
  • Collaborate with Retail and Institutional Service Teams using email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce to ensure seamless communication
  • Embodiment of blithequark's values in daily interactions with fund companies, transfer agents, counterparties, and other external business partners

Duties Analysis

The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for reviewing subscription deals or transfer requests, client/advisor amount exceptions, regulatory commitments, and reconciliations of business, dividend, and transactions breaks. Additionally, you will be required to:

  • Review and analyze correct tax coding and corrections of tax coding issues
  • Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution for internal and external system improvements or concerns
  • Identify the root cause of breaks between blithequark, fund companies, and other external partners
  • Offer method or technology solution alternatives to management, remediating transfer issues with fund companies or counterparties
  • Respond to business partner inquiries regarding fund information requirements and eligibility
  • Provide follow-up on alternative investment moves to expedite client requests or remediate outstanding issues
  • Promptly and accurately complete client investing and dividend requests

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge of financial services, investments, and regulatory requirements (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in data entry, operations, or a related field, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of blithequark's systems and processes, or similar technology and software applications
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
