Job Overview

This is a full-time opportunity, working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service, taking orders, answering questions, handling complaints, and troubleshooting problems. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience, resulting in increased satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude at all times.
  • Receive requests from multiple sources, including phone, fax, e-commerce, and in-person, and complete the necessary processes for equipment services.
  • Coordinate home equipment service requests with our Dispatch team to ensure prompt delivery and resolution.
  • Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry or frustrated customers as needed.
  • Provide customers with accurate and up-to-date product and service information, addressing their questions and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment, as well as verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services.
  • Follow established policies and work instructions to ensure that our Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance claims.
  • Strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, making sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be professional, proactive, and positive, with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, and 6 months of relevant customer service experience is preferred.

  • Excellent customer service orientation, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support and resolving customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process requests and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Good data entry skills, with proficiency in computers and strong typing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role is remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. You will be required to sit, talk, and hear for extended periods, with frequent typing and computer use. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, are necessary for this role.
