About Our Front Desk Team

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Front Desk Team at blithequark. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in providing world-class service to all our customers, human and pet alike. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and totally passionate about working with pets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class service to all our customers, human and pet alike, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for every client
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of each of our products and services, including packages, retail items, baths/grooming, and next reservations
  • Promote sales and drive revenue growth through effective communication and upselling techniques
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and listening skills, with the ability to defuse situations and communicate effectively via in-person, phone, and email interactions
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming lobby environment, including cleaning up after pets and ensuring the overall presentation of our front desk area
  • Ensure that all clients have a positive experience, as you are often perceived as the "face" of our pet resort
  • Develop and maintain a positive attitude, with the ability to handle multiple challenges at once and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a genuine love for people and dogs, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the well-being of our furry guests

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a pet care or related industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and management
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to defuse situations and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on multitasking and time management
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, with open availability preferable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with pets, including dogs, cats, and other small animals
  • Knowledge of pet behavior, body language, and health issues, with a strong commitment to animal welfare
  • Certifications or training in pet first aid, CPR, or related areas
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems, customer relationship management software, and other relevant technologies
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
