GIS Specialist - Jr; Puerto Rico

Position: GIS Specialist - Jr (Puerto Rico) Overview ICF is seeking a Junior GIS Specialist for our GIS operations in Puerto Rico. This position is based in Puerto Rico and does not include relocation assistance. Must be able to commute to our ICF office in Guaynabo and travel across the island to meet with clients and stakeholders as needed for project support. This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining spatial and design data to support various projects within our organization. What You Will Be Doing • Perform data capture, updates, and analysis within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. • Manage and document geodatabases and keep metadata updated. • Perform aerial photography interpretation and capture GIS data from raster datasets. • Design and develop maps for hardcopy and website use. • Employ various remote sensing data, including LiDAR products, to enhance maps, update elevations, and assign surface type classifications. • Extract and develop data from a variety of sources including engineering drawings, survey plats, tax records, and plat maps. • Note: this role is posted for pipelining and future consideration only and does not represent a current open position. What You Must Have • Bachelor's degree in related field • 2+ years of experience with managing cadastral data creation and editing using the ESRI ArcGIS suite • 2+ years of experience with fundamental GIS concepts (spatial projections, datums, REST feature services, feature editing, cartography, geodatabase management) • 2+ years of experience with GPS data collection techniques, ESRI mobile solutions (Field Apps, Survey 123, Quick Capture), and incorporating survey data into a geodatabase • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust • Ability to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico as required • Fluency in both English and Spanish What We’d Like You to Have • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating technical and business requirements to both technical and non-technical users • Proven capability to assist with project updates, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation • Experience with GIS workflow automation using Python and Safe FME is a plus • Experience with Azure-hosted GIS solutions is a plus Working at ICF ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider.
