Senior Financial Analyst, Cash Accounting
Job Description:
• Serve as Senior Financial Analyst within Corporate Controllership focused on cash accounting and a specific tower (P2P, OTC, or R2R).
• Responsible for day-to-day activities for assigned tower, resolving discrepancies and solving problems with internal and external partners.
• Maintain, file, and distribute required documentation for internal and external purposes as applicable.
• Work on departmental and strategic projects; collaborate with project/product managers and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and support more junior analysts; help prioritize assignments and ensure quality and accuracy of work.
• Present continuous improvement insights and recommendations to managers and leaders; participate in process improvements and tool enhancements.
• Execute operational duties including interpreting reports and ledgers, providing analysis and advice, resolving issues, executing month-end/year-end processes, and monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
• Assist manager with building and interpreting analysis to provide insights to the business.
• Report typically to Lead Analyst, Manager or Sr. Manager; typically 0 direct reports; travel requirements less than 10%.
Requirements:
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience (Preferred)
• Minimum Years of Work Experience: 2
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
• Thorough understanding of accounting and / or finance principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted accounting principles, and generally accepted auditing standards
• Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills
• Experience with data analytics / data visualization
• Experience with different innovative technologies like RPA, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain is highly desired
• Ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative and financial reports
• Minimum Education: high school diploma and/or GED (Preferred: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance)
