About the role: We are seeking a Senior Content Strategist to guide the development and delivery of high-quality communications products that support national education and family engagement initiatives. This role blends subject matter expertise, digital strategy, and leadership in content management to ensure that resources are accurate, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences. The Senior Content Strategist will collaborate with writers, editors, designers, and technical staff to create, review, and publish content across multiple platforms. You will also play a key role in shaping content strategies, enhancing online communities, and ensuring editorial excellence. This is a full-time position contingent on contract award by our client, with a defined performance period of one year with two one-year option periods. This role offers you a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a project that aligns with Bixal’s mission of delivering innovative, human-centered solutions. While the role has a fixed duration, we are committed to transparency and collaboration, keeping you informed about contract updates and new opportunities. Compensation: The salary range for this role is $110,000 – $120,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities: • Lead content planning, development, and publishing across web, digital, and print platforms. • Provide subject matter expertise in early childhood education, program management, family engagement, and community support. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging, accuracy, and compliance with editorial standards. • Manage content workflows, including assignments, reviews, approvals, and delivery under tight deadlines. • Support and enhance online platforms and virtual communities to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. • Ensure accessibility, clarity, and readability across all communications products. • Mentor and support junior content staff, editors, and liaisons as needed. • Apply analytics and feedback to improve communications strategies and increase audience engagement. • Other relevant duties as assigned, trained, and qualified to perform Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Education, Public Administration, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in content management, communications, or program support, with progressive responsibility. • Strong editorial, writing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to maintain consistent tone and style. • Experience coordinating digital communications across websites, online communities, and multimedia platforms. • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with experience working across teams and with external partners. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Nice to Have Skills and Experience: • Experience leading content for large-scale education or federal programs. • Familiarity with content management systems, web publishing, and accessibility standards. • Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education or community-based program communications. • Knowledge of communications analytics tools to track and improve engagement. • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
