BenefitHub does not currently offer H-1B Sponsorship Position Overview The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the creating, installing and managing our databases. You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance. Position works in Microsoft SQL Server environment, performing database administration functions, including the use of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS. Team member responsible for support of application groups, migration of DBMS components, troubleshooting, software upgrades, patching of related DBMS software. Key Responsibilities • Managing of database changes and re-designs • Analyze database issues and troubleshoot or configure the database accordingly • Drive automation of code • Monitor database performance to ensure high levels of security and speed • Identify and evaluate industry trends in new database related systems and technologies (e.g. Azure, SQL on Linux, NoSQL and PowerShell) • Perform back ups and disaster recovery • Write stored procedures, triggers, and views • Authorize users and conduct daily maintenance • Schedule alerts on DCL/DDL/DML devices • Ensure architectural, quality, and governance adherence through design reviews • Configure and integrate systems • Perform database consistency checking • Debug, and troubleshoot operating problems, etc. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in Computer Science , Technology, or a related field of study • 5 years of professional experience in database administration and data architecture required • 5 years of professional experience with database programming languages required • Proven knowledge of SQL Servers 2016, 2019, Azure SQL versions • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Good communication skills and working with multiple teams for support and setup of environment • Solid experience on database design, construction and implementation • Solid experience in performance tuning and ensuring database resources are optimized for performance and cost • Solid experience in PowerShell scripting and writing automation scripts for monitoring and daily activities BenefitHub is proud to offer highly competitive salaries along with a very generous perks & benefits package for full-time Team Members: • Medical, Vision, and Dental (Employer paid 75% of monthly contributions) • Domestic Partner Coverage for all insurance plans • 100% employer-paid Life Insurance • 401(K) retirement plan options (including employer contribution) • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) • Generous Paid Paternity and Maternity Leave Policies • 11 Holidays (Including office closed day after Thanksgiving) • Professional development opportunities • Flexible work schedules • Collaborative and innovative work environment • Remote-friendly work arrangements • Employee discount program • Flexible Spending Account program • Voluntary Benefit Programs (STD, LTD, Life Insurance, Accident) Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
