Family Office Senior Accounting Consultant
About the position
Responsibilities
• Working with balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows for families and investment partnerships.
• Performing transaction data entry and accounts payable tasks, including entering and coding invoices and managing recurring bills.
• Creating journal entries and reviewing the general ledger.
• Conducting bank account and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Reading, booking, and understanding investment statements.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.
• Knowledge of general ledger and expense coding.
• Understanding of balance sheet vs. income statement accounts and ability to record activity appropriately.
• Ability to assign proper general ledger code to transactions.
• Experience assisting with month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to work with various software including Bill.com, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
